Lights, Camera, Cure! The 2012 Hollywood Dance-a-THON is an exciting benefit for The Four Diamonds Fund and their fight against pediatric cancer. This fun-filled event will be done in true Hollywood style, with a red carpet, celebrities and VIPs, live entertainment (bands, musicians, DJs, etc.), and one-of-a-kind auction items. Dancers will be on their feet throughout the 6-hour event, raising donations from pledges for their efforts. The benefit will be held at the historic Avalon Theater, where the Beatles once played.
The mission of the Four Diamonds Fund is to conquer pediatric cancer by assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive support, and innovative research. The fund offsets the cost of treatment not covered by insurance, supports the medical team that cares for the children and subsidizes pediatric cancer research. The benefit is being sponsored by The Penn State Alumni Association Los Angeles Chapter in support of THON, the 46-hour dance marathon run by the students and held at the school each February for the past 40 years.
